I've been debating on lowering my car, which is a 97GT, and trying to figure out the best combo to handle DD and some once in the blue moon 1/4 mile track. I've looked at the Bullitt suspension which would drop the car an 1" replace the shocks and struts and sway bars. Does the sway bars from stock make a big difference? I've also been told to just get a solid cobra rear sway bar?

If the sway bars don't make a big difference then mine stock then what would be a good combo for 1-1.5" drop and make it handle very well without going too expensive?

I'm interested in this as well. I'm looking to switch K-members, and upon converting to coil overs, I'm going to see if I can't figure out a setup that will allow me to maintain decent handling, and thus, sway bars is an item on the list.

I seen one of the vendors over at the corral is selling both from and rear Bullit sway bars for 69.99 brand new in a package together. How much the shipping is, and how well these pieces handle over the stock GT sway bars, I have no clue.

Cobra spec rear swaybar, MM swaybar bushings and endlinks in the front. You don't need to replace the front bar, in fact upgrading to a thicker bar will cause more understeer, but you can go to a Adjustable Rear one, stiffer rear springs yada yada to compensate for it, you know how I stand on the K member :)
