Dude, I started when I was 14 when I bought my pacecar, my dad did find it but I payed for it. It had a 4 cylinder in it, I started off worse off than you, on top of that its a rare car with rare parts that I had to either find and save up for, or improvise. My dad did not want me to have a v8. The 4 cylinder was costing too much to get running right, then after it sucked some hood insulation through it, it became a lost cause, my dad found a wrecked 88. I payed for it. My dad helped me by giving me advice much like the advice you ask for on this forum, however I actually took the advice. My stang was in 100% worse condition than yours when I bought it, if you want to see pics I'll be happy to post them up.

Oh btw I am 19yrs old, I have been doing this for 5 years, and I go to school where I basically teach my class because my instructors dont know anything. If in 5 years you have accomplished what I have with your 83 than I will take back a few things.

Go ahead, I still stand by it. Only difference now is that everyone is giving you crap because you're defending some clown who is completely full of it. Just laugh and go make him make a fool out of himself, no need to argue about whatever.

And thanks. I thought you were bringing me in to the pissing match.

thank you. everyone please shut up and listen for 5 mins

When Mansonozz bought his mustang he had no plans for it but to drive it and did not know nothing about the car or was he interested in his car. look at what he has now.

so as for the fact of calling me stupid that would kinda like be calling everyone stupid. everyone starts out know jack **** about cars and as you get into them you learn.

so calling me stupid is a thats like calling everyone stupid

lol, no offense ryan, but u are digging yourself deeper. That guy was BSing you to the max, so technically u are the one making urself look like an assclown, by defending some guys car that you have no clue of what it has or anything.

By the time I am 19, I hope to have a blown featured car. Probably won't happen but you need to give credit where it is due. If you think you started bad, you should seriously look at the pics of what pacecars car looked like...

Go ahead and post em man, let this kid know whats up...

Ryan I never called you dumb. My story is much the same as mansonoss. My car was ment to be my first car, to be my daily driver, it was never supposed to be anymore or any less. It is still my daily driver, as soon as I get a new job and Im making decent money, I'll buy something else and retire my car to weekend duty.

K as long as you admit it was stupid to be siding with a guy you don't know then we cool.

And trust me, I thought I was the **** when I was 14 too, but really I didn't know much, now I have rebuilt 3 351s for friends and have dug deeper in the bay(not mine yet, I have to have money lol) then MOST guys have or ever will.

Go get a job at bruisters or krogers or mow lawns, put that tractor to GOOD use. Mow a lawn in 30 mins. weed wack and edge and get paid 40 bucks, do like 3 a day, thats what Idid and look at where I am now.
