Congrats bro 6 months off can start to play with your mind a little, i was at a job for 20 years and got laid off was out of work for 11 months last 2 months were no pay! my unemployement extension ran out they only paid like 10 months then, 2 kids and a mortgage no checks thank god my wife was still working full time just got by was 2001 things were getting bad nothing to compare to whats going on now. GOOD LUCK TO ANYBODY OUT OF WORK i finally got a job been there 7years i woudn't go back to the other job for 4 times the pay, so i went from disaster to best job i ever had hang in there whoevers out of work not your fault economy sucks........... sorry for running on.

congrats, I know a few ppl who are out of a job. Right now its a time where ppl couldn't be more appreciative of being employed.

Thanks guy's! my 1st round of unemployment runs out this comming wednesday. So perfect timming i worked for 12 years without sweating a job,but i was at this one for 5 years and made it threw about 60 layoffs! Sucks cause if your gone for 6 months you loose sinority. But i'm gonna try to let it slide cause i missed it by 1 week. I was getting 3weeks a year of vacation! Atleast i'm getting my pay i left at tho!d.r.moss was you talking to me or 89stang1? peace

I think he means u John John when i started my new job 7 years ago i had to work for a year to get 1 week vaca i had 4 weeks vaca where i was for 10 years after 10 years where i was u got 4 weeks vaca, the good old days, the way things are now with 2 5% pay cuts in the last 4 months i can't believe im sayin glad to have a job

I was just wondering, I am a dmis programmer and on a PCDMIS forum. A guy on there has the same pic of the stoner chipmunk. Thought it may have been the same guy. Plus, the DMIS jobs are scary right now too.

Our business it starting to turn around. No more furloughs for us and then announced that they might be reversing our 5% pay cuts soon. I can't wait...i miss going to strip clubs with that 5%

Must be nice. I'm still out. However, I don't think car dealership Finance Manager is a position coming back any time soon. With GM and Chrysler closing dealerships left and right, there is a glut of people all fighting for the same job. I'm back in college learning a new profession.

my dads in the same boat. 18 years at DSA and laid off. with none loaning money or building. architects ant really in to much need right now. been 2 months. he is going stir crazy. and he is driving me crazy. i sure hope things turn around soon. if not. bye bye to all our toys.
