I have a 69 mustang with a swing away steering wheel issue. It does not work because of lack of vacuum but I am concerned about an electrical issue. The swing away relay is powered all the time and is running the battery down. I was under the impression that it was to be powered only when the door was open and the key off. The key off is not an issue in my case because it is not wired through the key switch. There is power to the door switch and it is working properly. Any ideas would be appreciated.
