Symptoms of a Bad Tie Rod End?

it will cause some feathering and cupping in your tires and your alignment is definetly out... to find out if its your tie rod end, jack the car up and shake the wheel side to side with the steering wheel unlocked. It is either and inner or and outer tie rod, outers are easy and inners you need a special tool and its kind of a pain. have someone look to see if its the outer (part with a ball joint on it) you will see it wiggle. If not and you still feel play, then its your inner. also grab the top and bottom of the wheel and wiggle, if theres play that way then its a ball joint. And pulling and pushing is wheel bearing.

you may also hear a sort of squeaking/groaning noise when turning the wheels too, but i could be wrong about that. mine made that noise and someone said it was a tie rod end, but i never got it fixed so i don't know for sure if that was it or not.
