Has anyone had one go out before? My car woundn't crank yesterday after I got off work. Didn't throw any codes. Checked for fuel and found fuel. Checked for spark and it didn't have any spark. Then it all of a sudden had spark. Ran it home and it ran fine and this morning it wouldn't start. So after work today I got a CKS. Come home and messed around with it and then finally it started. Then I put the sensor in and let it sit for 4.5hrs. And it started fine. But I am thinking if it isn't this then it is either the engine harness or the PCM. Thanks.

chances are pretty good you found the problem. A little oil intrusion can make them go intermittent. the alternator is a less likely candidate at cranking speeds, as it doesn't produce much voltage at the RPM level... we owned a T-bird (4.6) that developed this problem, and saw another one where the crank sensor was bad.
