you can get the redline synchromax, synthetic synchromesh, and you tranny will fell like a different one........... plus it helps with the heat etc. to promote longer life, and less drivetrain drag...=more power
I run the B&M trick shift in mine ... love it as far as smoothness goes, but it did make it more noisy. You can hear the gears whine a little more. Good thing to do if ya gotta change it anyhow. Ya dont need all that much anyhow.
tremecs are supposed to use gm syncromesh, they will supposedly perform best with it. if they say to use it i would just to be safe. also why do people use automatic tranny fluid in a manual tranny instead of syncromesh?
honostly i am always very careful w/ my stang and i would not use synthetic in my t-5. A. it leaks easy if you have a minor leak in teh seal. B. it's thin and doesnt seem to work as well C. I just wouldnt take the chance, use the standard!!
regular dexron/mercon is what came in the trannys from the factory. just in case anyone is wondering.
synthetic fluids aren't gonna hurt your t-5 if anything it is gonna reduce friction, help the synchros last longer. and get rid of some of the drag it puts on the motor
