Synthetic Oil?

The big worry with synthetics is with ring seal with new rings and clean bore surfaces. If you freshened things up that much, I might run dino oil for a little bit (most of the ring seal should occur within minutes of operation).

I would be doing a break-in period of sorts no matter how much or little was done inside the motor. And dino oil is what I would choose for that short OCI.
MHO.
Good luck.

um rings seating within minutes???? i dont think so......try for a proper break in of rings 8-10 track passes or a good 500 miles.....I would run 10w30 dino oil for the first 1-2k miles then i would change filter/oil to synthetic at that point if you prefer.:nice:
