I'm guessing that it probably won't. The tread on the T45 shift knob is metric, 12mm. I'm thinking the tread on a tranny fron '79 won't be metric, but I could be wrong
It suggests that the Tri-Ax bolts up to the T-5, T-45 and SROD equally well.
But, I called the Ford Racing hotline and they said that's not true. Also, I've read that SROD had a three-bolt mounting for the shifter, not the 4 bolts used on T-5 / T-45 and Tri-Ax.
