T-45 Swap

Hello, I have a 97 GT automatic and am doing a t-45 swap. I got everything I need for the swap but I dont know about the computer. Can a burn a new program for it to work with the manual tranny or do I need to put in a 5speed computer. And if i put in a new computer will it effect my keys, I am pretty sure they have the codes in them for my ignition. Thanks in advance for any help.

I posted a thread on this a few months ago about me changing my 99 GT to a 5 speed. But noone seemed to be able to help me. I guess no one has ever done it?

You can leave your computer in, but you will have a check engine light. Im doing this swap right now.

Have somebody burn a diablo chip for you. I had them use the chip to delete the auto trans and give it an updated tune. If by saying you have "everything" you mean you have the 5 speed trans harness then you're good to go.
