I looked for one at 5.0 resto but could not find one. Maybe I didn't look long enough.

You can get away with not using that piece. As long as you properly tighten the collector bolts, the exhaust should not sag.

true...not needed at all!

it only helps while installing the exhaust. to help line up the exhaust, put a floor jack under the crossover section of the h-pipe to hold the exhaust where you want it.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have an impact gun so I'm sure I can get the collector bolts plenty tight.
