im having a problem, i bought a mustang and have no idea quite what i have here. there is no tag on the trans and i need to do the output bushing and would like to know the year of my trans, the only number is the one cast into the trans 1352 066
when i search it i come up with awsf 1984
what does this mean? anyway to figure out what year trans i have without the tag

I assume your talking about the Pilot bearing that is in the end of the crankshaft? The pilot bearing is all the same for the v8 t-5s, no matter what year. There should be a ID tag, if it has been removed the trans may be rebuild or atleast been apart over the years.

no the output side of the trans. the driveshaft has a ton of play and from what ive read and ive called 2 shops theres an output bushing that will take a severe amount of abuse if the u joints are bad. and they infact were shot when i got it.

See TTC: Product Literature to download a FREE service manual for T5 or Tremec 3550/TKO
You will need the Adobe Acrobat viewer which is also a free download – Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions

See Home | www.hanlonmotorsports.com or Welcome to D&D Performance - The 5 & 6 Speed Experts! for parts

A T5 rebuild kit with syncros, bearings and other small parts costs about $160. It does not include any gears or shafts.

Home | www.hanlonmotorsports.com also has a video on how to rebuild your T5 or Tremec. It costs about $20, and is worth every penny of it.

Well, what year mustang did you buy?

If the tag is missing, no way to know. But if we don't know what kind of car you drive, no way to even offer up an educated guess.

More than likely, any 86-93 trans output bushing and seal will fit. Autozome sells a Timken version with bushing and seal for $12. More than likely this is what you need...but without the tag or knowing of you have a 1984 gt or a 1993 lx...hard for us to recommend anything
