i got a free tranny today. Its a t-5 not a world class t-5. Will the d&d 2.95 super alloy gear set work with the standard t-5 not the world class? Do you guys suggest any other kits?

I'm not sure about the D&D kit, I'm pretty sure it's a WC rebuild kit, but there are kits out there, like the G-force which I was about to get. If your going to do a rebuild, you should upgrade it to something stronger or it's just going to break again.
I wouldnt waste the money on better gears. Throw an el-cheapo rebuild kit in it and be done with it. Personally, I would put it on ebay and get what I could out of it while its still in one piece. Im not sure if you are wanting a 5-speed for your car or what your intentions are, but you could get maybe half of what you need for a tremec if you do it right...or a brake for the AOD

I didn't read the H/C/I on the sig. I would take that advise. You will kill that tranny with that kind of power. I chopped all the teeth off the input to counter gears. If your going to do the T-5, I would do the G-force kit.
