before you guys jump down my throat, yes i searched this topic, and yes i read every thread....that being said, i need to rebuild my t-5 because 3rd gear grinds when i shift any faster than clicking it 1/2 way, then all the way into gear...it jsut started, and i wanna rebuild before it gets worse....also, this is my daily driver so it cant be out of comission for too long, so if i started this on a friday night, could i have teh car running again by sunday afternoon? my dad and i are very mechanically inclined, and we have the tools to do this, just never done a t-5...only a few muncie 4spds....last thing, does this kit below look like a good kit? thanks guys!

I'd say check out www.hanlonmotorsports.com - they have a video you can order that shows exactly how to rebuild a T-5 and a slew of parts to rebuild it as well.

get the video, and i would go with D&D's kit.... ot the one that hanlon sells.....between a good kit, and the video you should be fine.

I have done it before but i can have mine out and in in about 6 hours....given no major snags come up.... Haven't done it in a while now though..

if you order the rebuild kit from D&D, i know it has everything you'll need in it, minus the loctite for the case bolts. I believe there is even silicone in the package.

If you guys run into snags when you decide to do it, give me a holla and i will do what i can to help...

rough tool list

.125 punch
some sort of gear puller or a bearing puller and a press
scothc brite pads on a grinder work wonders for cleaning the case.... i also use carb cleaner to clean debris etc. from the parts you are reusing.
basic socket set
wouldn't hurt to have a couple hooks, such as that....

you can do it in a day with your own parts.... unless you are getting the other one for free iwould put the cash for it toward the rebuild kit etc.

putting it back together is the time consuming part(check, double check) you can tear it down in 30 min. or less.

yea im gonna be gettin a fox body t-5 for free from a bud with the 3.35 gearset in there...it id in great shape gearwise, just occasionally grinds 2nd so im just gonna rebuild that...only thing is, i need a 94-95 input shaft and im having a hard time finding one....is this the only difference between this t-5 and a 94-95 t-5? are the speedo gear hookups and other things different on the foxes form the sn's?
