I have been having this problem for a few months or so. When i shift into 5th i will some times come out of gear It is the stock t-5 with almost 170,000 miles on it it has never been rebuilt, and the clucth is on its way out. So what so i do? wait for 5th to give up? and then rebuild it?

why would you wait and risk messing something else up? get that t5 rebuilt ASAP and replace the clutch. while you're at it get a shifter for it and an aluminum quadrant with adjustable cable and firewall adjustor. You wont regret any of it.

Well you wont be going anywhere when the tranny dies looks like you have plenty of mods on it right now anyway, i'm in the same boat though college and mods, you gotta give up something though. "i think college is a lil more important by the way"
