what is the proper way to check the throttle position sensor are'nt you supposed to check for a certain voltage between two wires at idle and how do you make adjustments.

i've checked it before but forgot voltage and wire colors, when i did it last i pierced two wires (don't remember colors) with a needle and connected a voltage meter to needles and at idle its supposed to be .something, and how do you adjust if high or low.

Good subject. I just ordered a 70 mm throttle body tonight and as I look at the thread I see that I probably will have to remove it from my old body and place it on the new. Anything I should know guys?

Grady is right about it being able to self-zero upon closing. But if someone has a surge issue, setting it cant hurt.

Good luck.

Technically it should, but I would check it with a meter to see where it baselines.

Good luck.

That is good info Grady. It is nice (I guess) that the Ford allowed for such a wide array of sig-return tolerance. We werent advising to set the sensor near a given extreme, were we? The adaptability range cuts a rather wide swath.

That info parallels that of S&2B's, et al.

Good stuff as usual Grady.
