Did you grenade the T-45? What was the need for the swap...and why a T3650?

3650 is also clunky like a mofo...especially when cold.

I hope you got a later 03/04 3650 as the 01/02's were especially bad. Even my '03 gets a bit clunky into 2nd when the temp gets under 50 degrees

The 3650 is no where NEAR as "clunky" and notchy as a T45. The cold thing does sorta suck in some of the cars i've driven, but I've never had problems with mine in particular. IMO for late model stangs goes like this T45 < TR3650 < Cobra T56 < TKO500/600 < "viper" T56.

It's an 01 trans btw, which should be fine - and if need be we could take it apart and rebuild it with "the fix"; no biggie

I am currently working on this swap and am having difficulty with the crossmember, is there a different one that needs to be ordered or something, because I cant get the one off the T45 to work and its holding everything else up lol

I'm not sure about the crossmembers on the GT's...but the T45 places the cross member farther back (towards the front of the car) in relation to the frame than a 3650. For the cobra, what we had to do was remove the cross member and brackets from the car and T45, then swap the main bracket from the T45 onto the 3650, then the two mounting brackets for the frame had to be relocated about 3-4" down the frame rail.

For the cobra you can either drill new holes, or just weld the brackets on (what we are doing tonight).
