Does anyone know where I can get a T4mo for my stang? It's the only thing I need to complete my swap. Kragen is asking for a trans I.D#. Any idea where I can find it on my trans? They say it distinguishes the gear ratio in the trans. Mines has 3.35's. It's either a f4zf-ea or f4zf-jb. Why can't it just be as easy as T4MO!

Do you have a 5 speed? If so, either one will work. The T4M0 is the 5 speed EEC, U4P0 for the AODE (can be used with with 5 speed), J4J1 for the Cobra, and ZA0 for the Cobra R. To my knowledge, the only one that matters is for the AODE cars.

it's just a 5 speed with 3.35 gears. I dont want a tweecer. I just want the right computer. Oh, and its convertable, does that matter? I just want things to work right. Thanx guys

Gears have zero impact on the computer with a 5 speed. The speedometer calibration is done with the driven gear in the tailhousing, and the gear on the speed sensor, in that application. The only time any changes need to be made with the computer when changing gears with a 94-95 is when you're running the AODE, because it'll screw up shift points. Buy whichever one is cheaper, or search the classifieds for an even less expensive option.

Your AODE puter will burp [when it would command the auto to shift]. This could get annoying.

If the classifieds here don't yield much, hit the J/Y or Corral classifieds. The puters go for 75-125 shipped over there (I dont look at our classifieds because the pages take 2 days to load).

Sorry guys but I still need to know whether to get a F4zf-ea or F4zf-jb. I think it has to do with emissions because im in california. those are the ones offered for my car at the local parts store so they are what I have narrowed it down to. When i was searching for the right one, one of these says its M.T. fed. and the other says standard system. This was from fordecu.net. Thanx guyz

how much is the parts store charging for a new ECU? If its more than 300-350 you would be better off buying a TwEECer for the same price. That will allow you to turn off all the shift points in the stock ECU programming and fiddle around with small things like timing ect.

Also if you get into more serious mods down the road you can upgrade to the R/T version whitch allows datalogging and u can really dial the tune in
