i didnt power shift or anything crazy, maybe a lil fast but i always let off between shifts

shifted at about 5200, just getting on the highway passing some big truck that felt the need to do 30 all the way up the onramp

oh never heard of that ratio, i thought it was 2.97s, well i dont see how having 2.73s will help break anything, higher ratio multiplies the torque

i had 2.73's you can cruise 100mph@under2500rpms.
great highway gears-my current set up with the t56&3:73's are really similar.
6th gear 100mph 2400rpms and she's a smooth roller

i say glue it?
eh, screw that you dont need 3rd anyways. scoop that crap out and skip a gear!

no no, the lower the gear ratio (numerically), the more strain there is on the whole drivetrain. You can look at it similarly to the amout of force you exert with your legs to start a bike off on the smaller sprocket as opposed to the larger sproket. Same kind of thing happens with smaller gear ratios in the rear end.

The rear ends that came stock with 2.73s were not traction lok, correct?
