I've found that T5s will actually shift worse with synthetic, because the syncro clutches won't grip as well. Right now I run B&M Trick Shift ATF. Seems to work the best for me.

Regular Dex/Merc is different than Mercon V. Mercon V is supposed to be a semi-synthetic. Just bring back your Mercon V and swap it out for ATF.

so final answer is d3/merc? i called ford and they pretty much said that merc 5 replaced d3/merc. so if it was designed to take d3/merc then that dosent mean it will act better with merc 5 right

You can use Merc V, I got into a huge debate with this guy because our computer said to use mercon VI in his 95 camaro and he was telling me he cannot use that and I was trying to explain how it works kinda like a recall, and the higher number will cover the previous numbers, he didnt want to hear it.
