hey guys, im posted in here because there are alot more fox bodies with 5spds than classics so maybe u guys can help... i did the t5(brand new) conversion on my 65 notchback about 6 months ago and ever since then, i couldnt go over about 80mph without the entire car shaking and rattling, im only at 2500rpms at the mph also so i know it has to do with speed and not engine rpms. driveshaft is new, tires are balanced, rear end is fine. well today i went on a cruise in the mountians, ran my car hard shifting from 3-4-3 quite often but never really ran the rpms or mph up high. then a few hours later i was driving on the freeway at about 75 mph and i went to pass a car so i got on it, and as usual the car started to shake, rattle, etc when the mph went up, and then about halfway around the car, at maybe 80-85 mph, something odd happened and the vibration went away and she was driving as smooth as could be! there was no loud noise, clunk, or anything. so i let off the gas, and then got back into her and went to probably around 90-95(2900rpms) and she was still smooth... i continued to drive another 20 miles and then when iw as home i saw a little bit of smoke floating around so i look under the car and their is fluid dripping on the floor under the trans. i pulled my consol out so i could see be the shifter and it looks like fluid is comming out from around that the shifter bolts down to the trans case.
does anybody have any suggestions of what happened, what i should do or anything?
