Just did the AODE to foxbody T5 swap.

I tried tightening the cable and it is about 2/3rds down on thr clutch fork (where the nuts tighten) and it feels tight I also read that it should be preloaded, which I dont agree with, but it feels like the throwout is against the pressure plate. Any other ideas?!
