t5 swap question

Okay, so I picked up an 86 for my swap... question is, it seems the only part I need to find is the trim around the shifter since the center consoles are different. Is that accurate? Or, can I use my same aod trim with a different bezel? Or is the hole not big enough to get the car in 1st/2nd or reverse? I know the bezels are different for aod and 5 speed, I'm wondering about the trim.

I used the auto on mine and it worked just fine. I would suggest getting the cover that bolts to the floor. It will keep any unwanted smells and heat out.

Trims are different. AOD one doesn't have the provisions to mount a shifter boot to

you need the black piece from a 5spd car as well as the lower shift boot which bolts directly to the tunnel.
