T5 swap without the hydraulic setup

Wanted to get some thoughts on throwing a t-5 into a 65 mustang without buying the hydraulic kit . . . essentially running a foxbody setup with the pedal linkage. Theortically you could make anything work but just wanted to see if anyone had done it using all the foxbody stuff instead of the kits out there. Headaches are a welcome . . . I have plenty of time and little money.

wouldn't that be similar to the mustang steve cable setup? I mean all you would need would be the bell houseing as its already setup for a cable.

I use a 4 spd linkage on my 5 spd swap with a Mcleod clutch and wouldnt have it any other way

I have the Mustang Steve Cable setup and I think it is a well thought out setup. Works real good, just have an issue with my headers and the cable. So, I hope to go hydraulic one day when I can afford it.

I used the original 4-speed linkage and modified the T-5 bellhousing to fit- no probelm for the 3 years it's been in.
