I just installed a 347 in my 82 mustang but the stock transmission isn't holding up of course. I was going to purchase a tremec from summitracing but money got a bit tight. I was wondering if I could use t5 or t45 from a 95 up mustang?

T45 is crap, won't work.. U can get a t5z, $1500, but they'll break just the same. Save up for a tremec and lighten up on the throttle until then

I agree with V8only, the Tremec TKO 500 or 600 is your best bet,

The 94-95 T5 transmission input shaft is longer than the pre 94 T5. That means if you use a 94-95 T5 that you need the 94-95 bellhousing. Or you can swap the input shat from your old T5 - IF it has the same gear ratios.

If you put a T-5 in, you are just going to end up with another blown transmission.

Save your $$ and get a tremec TKO or a used 3550

So what is in there now, an SROD?
If so, what parts does he need? I am thinking there may need to be a new bell housing here.
