T5 to c4 ?

Well it could go both ways. Your tranny if not fully built will soak up a bit more hp to run it. Usally auto's like gears like 410's. You may pick up mph if you couldn't shift. (I am in no way insulting you) Usually up to 11 second cars if you can shift there is no real advantage having an auto except for the reliability of the shifting. I have seen cars at the track go much faster with auto's swapped into them because of the driver. (once again not insulting you)

well i can shift it's just that everytime i shift i'm affraid the tranny will bust because i have busted 3 in my life, and i could build a sweet c4 setup if i sold my fresh rebuilt t-5, i already have a c-4 ! i think it would be fun with some spray !

I hear you. I have gone through 5 I'm on my 6th t-5 right now. I wish I would have just bought a tko-600 at the beginning. My newest tranny has held up for 3 years now and I launch on a 150 shot of giggle gas. All my other transmissions were 300 dollar jobbies I bought out of wrecked 5.0L's. This last one was a fresh rebuilt world class. I think that a good manual is a lot more fun then the auto's. Juice on a standard is also a lot of fun. Maybe on a turbo car auto is better so you do not loose boost between shifts but for day in and day out fun I like to shift.

I switched from a T5 to C4 and I picked up. My local track is only 330ft so I went from a 5.34 to 5.20 and picked up 1 mph. That was leaving on a 1.8 60ft. Should see 5.0 by the time Learn how to leave on the auto.

One bad thing is if the car is a street driven car then it will be miserable. With 4.10 gears and a 27" tire I am turning over 3200 RPM at 55mph, but I only drive 2 miles to the track.
