heres my problem. my transmission grinds in second and its getting worse, it seems to slip when i floor it, or really accelerate quickly, and i cant take it anymore. im considering my options.
1) get the trans, have someone else put it in
2) let the mechanic get the trans, put it in
3) attempt to put the trans in myself
now here are my questions.
1) how much would (should) a new or rebuilt t5 run me?
2) how much would you imagine the whole job, including the tranny, should cost if brought to a mechanic? (estimated)
3) how hard is it to do yourself/with a friend? what do i need to do it, beyond like the obvious sockets and wrenches, etc. what kind of jack(s)?
