If I remember correctly, I used one of those plastic slicing clips. (I don't know a technical name for them) I pulled my gauge cluster out and spliced the lighting wire onto one of the lights in my instrument panel.
I ran the other wire to one of the acc. fuses in the fuse box

Allright, 4 wires will hook up as followes

Red- switched 12v source
black- ground
white- headlight lead
green negative side of coil

Do ya have a volt meter? this makes it easier to figure out what fuse is coming on with the key, or you can plug and play lol But i have all my 12 volt wires going to the fuse box. As for the light there should be a wire coming from the switch.
