tail lights half working..

Ok.. annoying problem.

my 95GT's tail lights will come on when i turn the head lights on, but when I use the brakes, only the center brake light on top of the trunk comes on.

the turn signals don't work in back either.

could the bulbs be messed up so that they half way work like this? or can it only be a wiring problem?

i already checked the fuses....

I would check the bulbs. It’s weird that the running lights work but not the brake or turn signal. You may have a bad multifunction switch if the bulbs are good that would be my next guess.

If they are two stage bulbs, the second stage of the bulb could be bad, while the first stage is working fine. Yank the bulbs and find out for yourself.

worst comes to worst, do the good ol check behind the light wiring cluster, might be something melted, happened to me and some other guys before...check it out, takes around 20 mins at my skill level, which is the same as a grade 2.
