Taillight issue

If anyone has any insight it would be welcomed.

87 GT -
the pass side lights work...well thats the issue. They work for the turn signal, back up lights, and they DO work for braking. but if the lights are on the outside light (of the three main) and the corner light do not work, until the brakes are applied.

any thoughts

Symptoms like you're describing are often the result of a bad ground.

both your bulbs are missing one filiment i had all my lights except my tail lights without brakes ..turns out i just needed new bulbs ...i had turnsignals brake lights and reverse lights ..i thought it could be a bad ground but it was the bulbs ..check it out

I remember hearing about a problem similar to this however, it was the reverse lights that didn't work. Seems there's a harness of some kind under the car below the transmission hump and the problem was there at that point.
