Tailpipes on my car, yes or no?

I have the opportunity to have the bender at work mandrel bend me a set of 3" stainless steel tailpipes for my 91 mustang. It has the LT headers, 3" H crossover pipe, 3" pipes back to the dynomax race bullets by the rear axle and dumped.

Would adding the tails hurt HP or TQ? Keep in mind the tails are mandrel bent and not crimp/pressure bent. What would it do for sound, i kinda like the way it sounds with turnouts.

And i have a fuel cell in the hatch so the old gas tank won't be in the way underneath.

i had the same setup you have minus the cutouts (which i need/like) I just could not stand the dumps. So i baught 2 1/2" tail pipes and just flared them to 3" to fit on the mufflers.
At least fab them up on your car so i can buy them off of you. Im worried that the flowmaster ones wont work on my lowered ride.

so GO FOR IT your not going to lose enough HP to notice maybe 15, but you have cuttouts so why the hell do you still need the dumps for?

Tails are the only way to go!
Tailpipes would be a better sound in my opinion.
I had a flowmaster setup installed on my Stang back in January & it sounds nice.
I have the h-pipe setup with flowmaster mufflers.
I like to hear my stereo without having to drown out the motor.
Less noise in inside ,but still sounds great with the windows down.
When I had them installed , I was goning to go with drops, but I hear you can get fumes inside the car.
Good luck with your car.:nice:
