tap,tap,tap goes the tranny

i posted a few weeks ago about a tapping noise comming from the motor
and i was told every thing from bearing to exuast leak

well i got under the car ties some wire to the tb so i can rev the motor while under the car the tapping noise is not comming from the motor at all but from the transmission

sounds like some thing is loose in there

i double checked to be shore under the motor sound is comming from behind my head got real close to the tranny with my ear and every time i rev the motor tapping sound comming directly from the tranny


funny thing is i just had the clutch done like 3 days ago and the tranny is not giving me any problems at all

any idea what this could be guys ???

Take it back to the shop that did the clutch 3 days ago, let them figure it out.

well its not there fault i am sure of that
i ran the car hard about a month ago and thats when i started hearing the sound

after doing all the basic checks i was sure it was a valve or a throw-out bearing or something

but today i decided to really really check out this annoying tapping so i got under the motor

i am now 100% sure its comming from the tranny

it was funny because when i started the car up and rev. it i would get no sound but as soon as i clutched it i got the tapping noise when i reved

even if i never put the car in gear or moved from the parking spot

i know i needed to find the souces of the tapping because its getting harder and harder to keep my foot out of the boost zone

i have not floored her as of yet maybe 3psi is the most i have done

think you broke off some teeth from one of your gears and its just bouncing around in the tranny? Last time I had that noise I busted fourth gear in my v-6.
