TAX MONEY what sould I do????????

first off my car is a 95' gt (cobra clone) aode, 2500stall, 4:10's, eibachs, lth and offroad exaust. other wise stock. my dream plan was to buy a procharger, d1sc, to put on the car the way it is. in the mean time enjoy the boosted hp and build a dart based 331ci all forged w/ 205 AFR's or canfeilds and just swap engines, w/ enough blower to make 15psi on the built motor ( around 10 on stock). the thing is I am getting impacient w/ my dog of a car... I got 2,500 bucks back on taxes and I am thinking about the trickflow package from summit (heads cam and intake) sould i go that route or save it with some more and do the blower? but in my area the 5500$ it takes to buy the procharger a fella can get a real nice modded fox. ( i love notches!!!) the bottom line is this: WHAT WOULD YA'LL DO W/ 2500 BUCKS IN MY SHOES? THANKS - justin

unless you plan on racing it, your dream isn't really too practical for the street, IMO. you'll end up spending a ton of money that you didn't really need to. go with the head/cam/intake for now and later get the rest. besides 205 afrs are huge and not too streetable. but its all in what you want.

strip and street.. and hey i gotta keep up w/ all my buddys who run late model F-bodys (lt1/ls1).. but i agree i just want to make between 500/600 streetable rwhp:D and have peace of mind to boot. I hear lots of horror stories of stock blocks splitting w/ anything over 10psi. true or urban legend?

Urban Legend. Boost has nothing to do with it. Its how much power you are actually putting out and the state of tune, how high you rev it, etc etc etc.

Why would u only stop at 331 with a dart block?

This is your issue....your budget right now will make your car a very respectable stang. Wont be a LS1 hunter...but it will hang with stock ones or lightly modified ones. But if u buy that h/c/i now you can kiss every single part goodbye for the 331. I would go with more than a 331 with a dart, and those parts you buy now will not be optimized on the bigger motor.

And with $2500, is that even enough for just the trickflow kit? I would think you would need an extra few hundred to $1000 for the small BS parts that come along with it.

With your goals in mind, i say go nitrous now put that $1500 in the bank for you future beast of a motor:p

How much longer would it take for you to save up for the blower? Because personally I would stick to your original plan it make take longer but it would be cheaper. Save up for the blower put it on save up for your 331 long block and than put that in trust me you will be a lot happier nowing that you saved money in the long run.
