I got a pair of tall Ford Racing valve covers Ford Racing M-6582-L302 - Ford Racing Aluminum Valve Covers-Overview – SummitRacing.com for my twisted wedge heads. Even with the 1 inch spacer between the TF intake manifolds, my throttle body (the IAC mounting flange) is hitting the valve covers. What are my options now. Any ideas on getting this setup to fit or did i just waste the money on the covers?

You can look at doing a fox t-body swap or maybe grind down the t-body were it hits if there is enough room to grind off a bit to make it fit. Also you might be able to "dimple" the covers a tad to make some room.

BFH mod ftw! Grinding away the TB a bit would work the best IMO. No point in spending money on valve covers just to beat them down with a hammer. Or a Fox style TB swap? More intake options that way.

those are aluminum covers. 1 hit, and im sure you then have either a crack to worry about or a hammer head sized hole.

Mine hit too with a 1" spacer. i ground a little of where the iac mounts and it clears fine.
