Hey Guys,

well, after playing with this for a while the running horse is gone. IN WITH THE DRAGON! i just finished up installing my Dragon 75mm TB and matching Plenum (without the chrome type finish). I ordered the set from Stangpro after noticing he was listed as a dealer, got a setllar deal by the way! after ordering i decided to order the mustangtuning intake spacer just in case it actually did make more power (for 30 bucks i'll roll the dice ). well install took around an hour or so. everything was pretty simple, glanced at the instructions once or twice when i was not too sure if i was missing something or not.

the results were interesting to say the least. i had the same problem someone else did about having a large amount of slack in the throttle cable. This IS normal. i used my universal pedal smasher (large hitch i removed from my truck) to put the gas pedal to the floor, then checked the TB. sure enough the bade was completely flat and was bottomed out on the stop. i reattached my DeMolet Tunable Induction CAI and checked for leaks. after using soap/water and carb spray to see if there were no issues i started to play with it.

First thing i noticed was the sound. one VERY weird thing was that when i first pressed the gas, just before the RPMs shot up there is a kinda whisteling noise. reminds me of a reverse blow off valve on a turbocharged vehicle. is this normal? i dont mind it as long as its not affecting anything. after making sure everything was good and idle was fine (no change after install) i took it for a drive. got on the open road and in first gear (about 2k rpm) i put it to the floor, heard the popping of the cork (my new term for that lil whistle) and shot off. i really didnt notice a difference till i bounced off the rev limiter.

i immediatly let off the gas and popped it in neutral to figure out what was wrong. no way did i hit redline that quick... i still had time (based on noise and duration normaly taken before i have to shift) to pop it in second.... put it back in gear, this time watched the Tach and romped it. while i didnt "feel" a massive difference i sure noticed the RPMs climbing faster. Shifted into second and put it down again, noticed a little more pull in second passed 4k. put it in third and i was really impressed, had a solid pull from start to redline with it pulling a bit harder at around 4k again.

I shut it down and coasted back to the speed limit (45 ) no worries, empty road by my house, NOBODY around but me. i can say for sure that it has made a noticable difference, though not as much by feel in first, second and third was where i felt the difference. I just hate that now i have to watch the Tach when i drive now, dont want another bounce off the limiter

Thanks again to StangPro for all the help, great price, and very fast speed (ordered monday). Sorry for the long post, but i figured it'd be a nice change other then "Wow this Rocks, Get one!"

I had a throttlebody spacer and they made my idle bounce around and was pretty much junk in my opinion! I have the Accufab Setup and they are a nice piece!

The noise is normal, or at least I hear the same noise in my brother's car. He has an automatic, and it was somewhat stonger down low, but it seemed to pull much harder up top. The only difference was that he had everything installed at once.

According to Accufabs website (I know you got a Dragon) using their T/B spacer is highly unreccomended with the T/B and Plenum. I would assume the same is true for your application. Ditch it.... IMO of course

It should sound like

It should sound like the motor is sucking in air, my car sounds almost like a it has a supercharger because you can hear the air flowing into the motor, if it sounds like a BOV it could have a leak or something is not connected properly
