Looking for stories about TBs. Here are the plans this spring, and summer.

First run - Fluidyne, electric water pump, 36lbs injectors, either JLT or full C&L intake w/76mm mass air, 255lph fuel pump, edelbrock victor jr, or AFR 185s, TB-unk 70mm, SLP loudmouth catback, and some more suspension upgrades.

Second run-summer - FIT custom cam, KB Flowzilla, only 8psi for a few years on a safe tune. Want the flowzilla for a future planned motor upgrade. Only have 18k on this motor.

Current list of mods are on the site in my sig.

Anything else I missed, or suggestions are welcome. I have done a lot of research on this reading on various forums, but I have yet to throw my plans out there. Thanks in advnace for the info.........

prolly a diff mass air...... everything else you listed would prolly make that thing a torque mongrel.....lol should be damn fun on the street...

The KB's are more sensitive to TB size since they draw through the TB, where Vortech/PAxton, etc all blow through it. There is power to be gained in the TB on a KB setup by going bigger. The book of dyno tunes by Richard Holdner had some interesting information on this. Same with the MAF. I'd do 80mm plus MAF and 75mm TB (and did with my Vortech....)
Also, you are going to need a tune, so start reading all the threads about idle issues, and such....
Oh, and go 42's. You'll be close on the 36's, so just buy them once....

I figured on a good tune. Good to know about the bigger sizes. I was thinking 42s, but was looking at a chart that was kinda confusing. So, thats good to know as well. I have heard of a lot of idle issues, I just hope a good tune will solve this.

Ditto to all that stuff Dennis said

Over the last year, more and more peeps have started to use the lightning maf.

Might consider that option.

Since you need a BIG maf, take a pass on the C&L

Kinda glad to hear everyone agree on the lmaf. I found this package the other day, and it seemed like a pretty good deal. Is it?

yeah lightning maf, 42's and a 90mm accufab. that is the standard fair with a blowzilla. that price seems good, at least cheaper than getting it from kb.

Looked at Accufab, never saw a part for 94-95 cars. What gives?

they only briefly made them for our cars, so if you get one, it will have to be used, and good luck finding one .....lol

I bought a BBK, and it has edelbrock stamped on it as well..... good quality in my mind...

Yeah ditto with everyone on the injectors and MAF. 42#s and a Lmaf which is a great quality MAF. Are you going to get the pistons notched so you can accomadate the bigger valves of the victor/185 heads? As for the Tbody i run a BBK 75mm right now which from what i have seen is the biggest 94-95 style throttle body.
