Well im going ahead and getting a 65mm (ford racing) throttlebody, my question is do i need the spacer or just stear clear of one , and is there any advantage of putting one on .

is it worth the 50 bucks.

It is best to match the spacer and T-body together. Stock is 60mm. 65mm T-body, to a stock 60mm spacer won't do you much good. Even with both, the intake opening is still 60mm. So technically, you want to get the TB and EGR spacer and open the intake hole up and match all three the same size.

50 bucks is cheap for a used TB. They alone are about 179-189 new +shipping. I bought a 70mm TB and spacer from a swap meet for 120. You gotta deal man!!

This is just for the spacer thats 50 bucks , i forgot to mention that its going on a cobra intake, i belive that the opening for it is 65, correct me if im wrong.

What about the coolent lines that run through the spacer , im beginning to think that it might be worth the 50 bucks.

I think he may be spending $50 on the spacer.

Edit: Beat me to it!

Isn't the spacer already connected to the TB on the Cobra intake? Correct me if I'm wrong, I never had a Cobra intake.

oh okay....that is a valuble peice of info. You do not need a spacer. It is built into the Cobra intake. Just get a larger TB if you have a stock one. I believe the stock TB on a 93 Cobra is 65mm vs. GT at 60mm.
