I know from research that a MK VII MC is called for in a Turbo Coupe rear end swap.

My track only '88 coupe has a power brake delete plate an manual mc - I already have and adj. prop valve - can I get adequate pressure to run the rear disks?

Anybody try this?

Most likely you won't be using the full potential of the rear disc brakes. The reason to swap to a disc rear master cylinder is to increased the fluid flow to the rear calipers, since they require more fluid to work than rear drums. And then you have to adjust the pressure down to keep them from locking first with the adj PV.

Incorrect. The Mark 7 MC should only be used when using the front 73mm calipers and rear disk setup from a mark 7/svo with the 54mm calipers. The MC should not be used with any other combo

With the turbocoupe rear disks, you want a '93 Cobra MC

Thanks for the replies!

I went out in the snow yesterday and picked up the turbocoupe rearend yesterday from a craigslist seller - it's complete with rotors drilled for 5-lug, mustang brake line fittings and rebuilt traction lok for $100 - too good a deal to pass up (it's even cleaned up and painted), even given my doubts about the manual master cyl.

It will replace the 7.5" in my manual brake strip only car at this point unless the pedal's too hard or the stopping power is inadequate. Then I guess I can put it in my steet car.

Sorry to turn left in my own thread, but if I go that route, what are the issues with the parking brake?
