Was wondering if any of you guys knew of tech write up on changing out the trans fluid of the 05+ stangs w/ a manual. (i've searched the net w/ no help)

I've changed the fluid in serveral previous cars, just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

ALSO: Just got back from my local trans shop and they told me not to change over to synthetic transmission fluid. Anyone heard this with new stangs?

thanks for the help guys!

Pull the drain plug. Drain. Pull the fill plug. Fill.

Don't forget to put the drain plug back in after step two!

I had a new flywheel/clutch installed and put Royal Purple synthetic back in. Why not? ... but my tranny only had 3000 miles on it, so that may factor in also...

Ok.... let me make sure I got it right.

Step 1. Remove drain plug??
Step 2. Drain??
Step 3. Replace drain plug??
Step 4. Fill??

That's it.... just 4 easy steps. WoW!!! I didn't know that.

Crap! 5th step - replace fill cap/plug!

What about jacking up the car? or find a pit in the ground?
