well one of em just started yesterday. since this 89 5.0 is just sitting in my driveway i dont really care if i fix it right away. its not a click or a pop more like a psst psst noise. kinda rhythmes with the fireing order. the other one sounds like the valve train it just sounds rough kinda a gurgling noise but no ticking.
sorry not alot of info but hey i turned the car off after hearing it. it doesnt sound like a vacuum leak. i already had one vacuum leak occur and wow that messed the idle up. after i fixed it idles perfect at 1000. and still does now with the other noises. still has power. revvs normally. no back fire or poping in exhaust.
