Interior and Upholstery Temp Control Gear Slide Advice

Need advice. White gear slide that links the temp cable to the temp knob is broken. Do I need to source a whole new unit, are they available for purchase somewhere, or should I just repair with gorilla glue?

You will need to track down another HVAC controls unit to rob that part off. Other Ford vehicles of that era also used the same style controls, so it might be possible to find some off a Taurus (cheaper) and take the part you need.

Thanks for the responses. I just super-glued a small washer to the side of it for support and it works fine. Thanks for the offer, if it fails I will take you up on it.
