Temp's at the exhaust manifold?

I started the stang last wekk and let it run for about 5-10 minutes.I took my heat gun and measured the temps at the right and left exhaust manifold and theres about a 100 degree diffrence. Is this normal?
I remember ( at least I think I do) reading something and it talking about you could measure the exhaust temp at each cyliner and they should be around a certain temp.Anyone know what Im talking about?

I have never heard that each cylinder should be a specifice temp. If one side of your motor is running hotter then the other side, then it could mean that that one side is running leaner then the other. This means that one side is producing less power then the other side, which will cause the engine to run un-balanced. Your water jackets on that side could be clogged more then the other too. Try adjusting your mixture screws and see if it helps.
