I like the 03-04 cobra like everyone else said you can make a ton of power really cheap but the reason I bought my 08 GT was because the engine bay is so much bigger than SN95. If I wanted to go to a bigger motor it should fit much easier in my car than a SN95. My dream is to have a 5.4 with a twin turbo set up but still have air conditioning

Perhaps you should realize other people have their own opinions. I see you argueing with a lot of people and it's always the same thing. I sense this mentality that it's your way or the highway. I can respect your opinion and I don't have to 'down' it. I don't need your approval before making a blanket statement. This place is all about opinions and experiences, isn't it?
It's not like they are going to be autocrossing on public roads, right? It goes both ways. The LRA would do just fine for them.

If IRS isn't all that realistic unless your road racing, then why do all those "supercars" have it?
LA has a better launch, but IRS corners better?

What if you want a mix of both?
I was toying around with a CTS the other day going around some really wide corners at a very decent speed, and my car slipped WAY before his did. I want to have that grip. I want to be able to take the corners like a bat outta hell.
But at the same time, I want a superior launch....
What do I do now?
How can I get both?
What would you guys recommend? or.... whats your opinion.
I guess I'll just have to agree to disagree. I know that both of them are on nearly the same chassis but I'd say it's a little bit of a redesign to warrant a new name.
how can everyone have an 03/04 cobra? last time i checked, they haven't rolled off a mich line since march 2004 and this is 2009. they only made 13k in 03 and 5k in 04. thats 18k total in the world not counting all the ones that have been wrapped around telephone poles or made into track whores. weird that many live so close to you, but don't kid yourself. there's tons more 05-09 gt's rolling around, it's not even close
eh.......nobody's going to 100% of the time. Just remember that IRS has it's own place. It's usually on supercars too. Z06, GT40, whatever. I do agree with you about putting a IRS in place of a LA but it rides better with IRS for street duty. I've riden in both. And geometry proves it.
