Paul and Jerry helped me paint the hood today so I got some pix to share. Gonna do a little touch up on it and then add my custom "WW2 P51" plates when they get in. Then Terminatrix will be ready for the races and shows.

Yep, that came out cool given the method employed.

I'm taking the reserved approach on this one..need to see it in person, but the doors with the SVT and star look pretty cool...

I figured if I messed up the "bubba" paint job, I could always then take it in to a shop. Looks like I saved major bucks though. And yeah, its kind of like a book of timeslips now....

Here is a couple pics of the wet sanding with 600 sandpaper and after the first coat. The Oregonian is good for something after all...

some 1000-1200 grit wet sanding and some extra fine rubbing compound will give the final touch.

The decal on the fender above the "TERMINATRIX" name is the logo honoring the victims of September 11th and those on Flight 93 who were first to fight back.

I thought it fitting since the theme of the car is to honor those who serve our country.

Looks pretty cool. I might just have to come out on Friday and see the car in person. It's been a while since I've been anywhere anyways.... If I can find a helmet I might even run with you on Friday... (the guy wasn't able to come up with a loan so I have his $500 non-refundable deposit and still have my car)
