I've been playing clubs for a good portion of last year up to about February, went to Phoenix in December for a GREAT Christmas bash and Seattle for some little house shindigs at New Year's. So the job got me around to a lot of places. Had a lot of fun, got to meet a lot of cool kids who just think you are so cool for mixing tables. The popularity of the job is just such a cool perk in itself that it kept me going for a while. Unfortunately the money isn't. Phoenix barely paid for itself and I went to Seattle out of my own pocket, but it was still a blast. It was a great side job all around while I was going to college, but I think I'm going to be taking a break for a bit. I have been looking for a steady contract at local bars, not spending too much effort searching, but just something on a week to week basis. It's a big hassle to book yourself a half hour for fifty bucks on an erratic basis. But it's not really the money as much as it is an experience either. It's getting to the season where things start moving fast again and I might be able to make a buck or two somewhere, I just really need to update some of my equipment. Hitting the cds are ok, but I think I'm past that. Besides, I don't like microphones that much.
I'm also not too big of a fan of some of the things that happen in the clubs, don't really want to get into it, but I don't like seeing that much drugs. You don't even wanna know how much.

There was a Mercedes AMG Turbocharged V12 and PR last night. It ran an 11.87 at 115. I was impresssed. I think it costs about 100k. Anyone know?

The car was there last Wednesday,it had on BFG Drag Radial,sure don't see too many MB with those tires,and it still smoked them off the line. I believe 100k is maybe just for the car and who know how much the AMG package adds to it.
