I test drove a bone stock 99 Cobra today, and it felt a lot slower than I had imagined.

Is there anything else that would sap power from the car? Or is it just that I dont know how to drive it right yet??
The car seems to be in excellent shape. It has 42K on it.
What RPM are these magazine guys launching at to pull high 13's in these things? My last car was a mid-13-second WRX, which felt much faster. I'm hoping I just need to get used to the car.
Was anybody else initially disappointed with their Cobra's power?
Also, does anybody have a dyno plot from a stock 99-01 Cobra?

but it will make all the difference in the world. and by the way the 96 to 98 cobras are slower than the 99 and 2001. the power was lower and so was the acceleration times. I drove a whole bunch of them and they were not much faster than my 95gt with bolt ons. you made a good decision goin with the 99 (the 99 and 2001 are the best late model n/a mustangs!!!) , the irs does help it hook up some time as well
