I would definately port if possible, but you shouldn't need bigger injectors with that combo. I run ported E7's, ported Typhoon and the TFS1 cam with 1.7's.

All you need is to change the valve springs on those stockers and rock!! you will like the add'l power and the idle!! also when you install the cam, install it 4* advanced!! and then when the $$ comes around.. port the E7s or bump up !! cool??

No it wouldn't be good. The typhoon/tfs s1 are made for upper rpms, and that is where the E7s struggle. Since you do not have gears either, it will probably feel like a big loss of power down low.

Isn't that the purpose of having it advanced? Mine is advanced and I don't have any problems with low end and it pulls all the way through. The Typhoon is designed for 1500-6500rpm. Listen to Thumper, he knows his stuff. I agree though, gears would help out.

You could pick up some explorer heads, and run that cam and intake.

I went the Thumper's #3 package with the TFS1 cam and whatever springs comes with that package. 1.7rr's, but I can't remember the size pushrods. I would have to ask my engine builder what size he used, but I want to say they were the stock length and he didn't have to shim them. I think they may have even been Ford Racing pushrods.
