Someone explain football to me.

From my understanding, in a game you have two teams of men wearing very tight, very colorful clothing. They grab at each other and tackle each other.

On offense the center grabs the ball, and passes it through his legs to the quarterback, who reaches in and receives the ball. The quarterback then throws the ball downfield to another man, who catches the ball and proceeds to run as far as he can, keeping the ball tight to his body while the defense attempts to tackle him, push him out of bounds, or strip him of the ball. The quarterback also has the option to take that same ball and hand it off to another man who attempts to run by the other men and reach the end zone before being taken to the ground. If the football enters the end zone in the hands of a player, He celebrates by throwing the ball into the ground and dancing around with other men. A team has four chances to move the ball forwards 10 yards or the other team gets the ball.

Do I have this right so far?
