The covering on my sun visors is falling apart

I tried to clean my 'vert sun visors up and used some diluted Simple Green, and the cloth overing disintegrates.
Lots of sun over the years probably helped, too.
Is there a way to recover or is there a good junkyard replacement?
I guess with the built in mirrors & lights,OEM replacement would be expensive.

I think just about every vert owner on here has this problem. I opted to just remove them all together since I only drive the car with the top down.

Sometimes they'll come up on eBay but they're expensive since the demand is high. Before I removed mine, I was going to have my mom recover them.

Mine look horrid as well. IIRC the dealer wanted something like $300 for the set, but don't quote me on that. One day I'm gonna have an upnolstery shop look at them and get an estimate, but its down near the bottom of my priority list right now.

I'm looking into the re-upholstered route soon too, so I'll let you know soon what the estimate is...

I bet you could just sow those bad boys up yourself. Just go to the fabric store and pick and choose the fabric you want. If you have a goofy interior color it may be hard to find a matching fabric tho.

eBay or a junkyard will be your best bet.

Also, the coupe visor skins WILL fit over the convertible visors. I have a set in my shop waiting for the transformation. You'll have to cut the fabric off the coupe visors a bit.

I also have a nice, used set of visors that I need to put on from a parted out '99 GT.
