The Mother of All Smoke Clouds

So I did the SeaFoam all three ways last weekend. One can in the gas tank, half a can sucked into the intake, and half a can dumped in the crankcase fifty miles before the oil change.

Anyway, I sucked it in where the red vacuum lines connect to the TB and the killed the engine. I changed the oil while the SeaFoam did its work.

Then, after I got done changing the oil, I took it for a drive. Let me tell you, the smoke cloud was amazing It left a huge cloud all the way down my street, out the subdivision entrance, and for a while down the main drag. Taking off from stops smoked as well for a while.

Judging by all the smoke, something must have got cleaned out...

I still have yet to try Seafoam, i'm afraid i'll be the one idiot to do it wrong and **** something up

i used seafoam on my old 5.0 and it worked pretty well. I put a half can in the intake, half in the crankcase and a can in the gas just like you did and i noticed it seemed to idle a little nicer.

I did the Seafoam treatment last week. I was expecting a huge cloud of smoke but got very little. It only smoked when I reved it, and still didn't smoke much. I used the extra port on the vacuum tree. I can't picture a red vacuum line that connects to the throttle body. Where does it connect? I am thinking about trying the pcv line that goes from the oil filler neck to the throttle body next time. I used it in the tank too. I did notice a smoother idle.

Well I feel pretty stupid now. I just realized I was on the 4.6 board. That's why I couldn't picture a red vacuum line on my 89's throttle body.

I always get a great cloud of smoke with that stuff...not to mention..it will come out of any header leaks or anything else wich is also very helpfull..I just wonder if this is the most effective way to remove carbon build up and how well it actually works?

Well, I believe in SeaFoam and I feel that it works but I DID vote for Kerry so what do I know

how long does it take for the carbon to build up? thx
